In short: we only collect what you choose to send us through our contact form, plus basic technical data needed to run and protect the site. We use it to reply to you and arrange classes. We never sell your information, and this website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
1. Who we are
Online Quran Class for Kids (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the children’s Qur’an program of Kitaab Academy. This policy covers onlinequranclassforkids.com and any information you share with us through it.
Enrollment, payment, and our adult courses are handled on Kitaab Academy’s website, kitaab.academy. When you use those pages, Kitaab Academy’s own privacy terms also apply.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- your name and email address (required);
- your phone number (optional);
- what you’re interested in, your child’s age range, and preferred class times (optional);
- anything you write in the message box.
We also keep the emails you send us at info@onlinequranclassforkids.com and our replies.
We only ask for an age range for your child, never their name, date of birth, or photo, on this website.
Information collected automatically
When you submit the contact form, we also record:
- your IP address and browser type, used to prevent spam and abuse;
- the page on our site you came from, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as
utm_sourceorgclid), so we know which pages and ads help families find us.
Like most websites, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical information (such as IP addresses and request details) for every visit in order to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
Information we do not collect
This website does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, or social-media trackers, and it does not collect payment card details. Payments are handled on Kitaab Academy’s enrollment pages.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and answer your questions;
- arrange a consultation, placement, and class times for your child;
- follow up about the enquiry you made (you can ask us to stop at any time);
- understand which pages and campaigns bring families to us, so we can improve the site;
- keep the website secure and filter out spam and abuse;
- meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We will only send you newsletters or marketing emails if you ask for them, and every such email will include a way to unsubscribe.
4. Legal bases for processing (EEA & UK)
Families from more than 10 countries learn with us. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases:
- Steps before a contract, when we respond to your enquiry about enrolling;
- Legitimate interests, to follow up on enquiries, improve our site, and prevent spam and fraud, balanced against your rights;
- Consent, where we ask for it (for example, marketing emails), which you can withdraw at any time;
- Legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
5. Children’s privacy
Our classes are for children, but this website is intended for parents and guardians. Enquiries and enrollment must be made by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has sent us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Classes take place live on Zoom and are recorded so your family can review lessons and catch up on missed classes. Recordings are shared only with your family and our teaching team, and are never published. Parents may ask us to delete their child’s recordings at any time.
6. How we share information
We share information only with the organizations that help us run our program, and only as much as they need to do their job:
| Who | What for |
|---|---|
| Kitaab Academy | Our parent academy: teachers, enrollment, scheduling, and payments. |
| Cloudflare | Website hosting, security, and secure storage of contact-form enquiries. |
| Resend | Delivering email notifications of new enquiries to our team. |
| Calendly | Booking a free info session, if you choose to book one. |
| Zoom | Live online classes and class recordings for enrolled students. |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of a child or others, or as part of a merger or transfer of our program, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
Calendly, Zoom, and Kitaab Academy’s enrollment pages are separate services with their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
7. Cookie Policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and tracking pixels. They can be “strictly necessary” for a site to work, or used for things like analytics and advertising.
Cookies we use
Visitors to this website do not receive any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook or TikTok pixels, or similar tools, and our fonts are hosted on our own servers, so loading a page does not contact Google or other third parties.
The only cookies involved are strictly necessary ones:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
oqck_admin | This website | Keeps our staff signed in to the private admin area. Only set for staff who log in; never set for parents or visitors. | 12 hours |
__cf_bm and similar | Cloudflare | May be set by our hosting provider to tell people and bots apart and protect the site from attacks. Contains no information that identifies you. | Up to 30 minutes |
Because these cookies are strictly necessary for security and for the site to work, they do not require consent under cookie laws such as the EU ePrivacy rules, and we do not show a cookie banner.
Third-party sites
When you follow a link to another site, such as Calendly, Zoom, Kitaab Academy’s registration pages, or our social media profiles, that site may set its own cookies under its own policy. We don’t control those cookies.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to browse this site or send us an enquiry. We also respect Global Privacy Control signals, although we don’t sell or share data for advertising in the first place.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.
8. How long we keep data
- Enquiries: kept for as long as we need to respond and follow up, and deleted no later than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless your child enrolls or the law requires us to keep them longer.
- Spam and security data: records of failed admin sign-in attempts are deleted automatically after 15 minutes.
- Deletion on request: you can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
9. Security
We protect your information with HTTPS encryption on every page, a private admin area that only authorized staff can access with a password (stored only as a secure hash), automatic lockouts after repeated failed sign-ins, and secure cloud storage. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any breach where the law requires.
10. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- stop contacting you for follow-ups or marketing.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
EEA and UK residents
You also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may complain to your local data protection authority, though we’d appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
To make a request, email info@onlinequranclassforkids.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time the law requires (generally within 30 to 45 days).
11. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA or UK, we rely on our providers’ appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will highlight them on this page.
